Asbestos Refurbishment & Demolition Survey
A refurbishment & demolition asbestos survey (formally a type 3 asbestos survey) is used to locate and describe, as far as reasonably practicable, all asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) in the building and will involve destructive inspection to all areas prior to any type of refurbishment or demolition are undertaken.

Pre-refurbishment & demolition asbestos survey
Pre-refurbishment & demolition surveys are intrusive and can be targeted to areas which may be affected by proposed refurbishment/demolition works. A pre-refurbishment & demolition asbestos survey will be required by your CDM Co-ordinator under the Construction Design and Management Regulations 2015 & control of asbestos regulations 2012. This type of survey is more intrusive than a management survey and should be undertaken alongside a project specific plan of work to ensure that the survey covers all areas planned for refurbishment.
